These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TapThisTag’s website, tags, and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

TapThisTag provides NFC pet tags and a web app where you create a public profile for your pet. When someone taps a tag with a smartphone, it opens the profile you control. Features may change or improve over time.

Your account

You are responsible for the information you add and for keeping your contact details accurate. You must have the right to share any information and images you upload, and you agree not to post unlawful, harmful, or misleading content.

Purchases

• Tags are sold as a one-time purchase. Pricing and availability are shown at checkout.
• Creating and managing your pet’s profile does not require a subscription.
• Any refund or money-back terms shown at checkout apply to your order.

Tags & transfers

A tag is tied to your account once claimed. You may reassign a tag to another of your pets, or release it so a new owner can claim it with its code. You agree not to attempt to claim tags that are not yours.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the Service — for example, by attempting to access others’ data, interfering with the Service, scraping, or using it to harass or endanger anyone.

Text messages (SMS)

If you opt in — for example on our text-alerts page at tapthistag.com/sms — you agree to receive recurring automated account and service text messages from TapThisTag, such as a one-time login/setup link after a purchase and alerts when your pet’s tag is scanned while marked lost. Opt-in is optional and is not required to buy a tag, create an account, or use the Service.

• Message frequency varies based on your account activity.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help.
• No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS opt-in/consent — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is.” While we work to keep it reliable, we do not guarantee that a lost pet will be found or that every tap will reach you. The Service depends on the information you provide and on third parties (such as phones, networks, and maps). To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit our liability for indirect or consequential damages.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated.

Changes

We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
